What was your favorite part of the wedding ?
Other than the day itself, we really enjoyed coming up with the concept and theme of the wedding!

How did you know your dress was 'the one'?
I remember seeing the collection online and saying to my husband “If I could have any dress in the world it would be from this collection”! Since I work in fashion, I value both design and execution and The Atelier is known for excelling in both. I knew that whichever design I would ultimately pick, I would be in safe hands. It was extremely difficult narrowing down to the dress I wanted the most so having the limitations of a religious wedding helped me with my choice ultimately as it needed to have long sleeves.
What was everyone's reaction to the dress?
Everyone had the same reaction as me when I first saw the dress! I had so many girls tell me that I had their “dream dress”.
How did the dress make you feel when you wear it on?
The first time I tried the dress on, I stood in it by myself for 30 minutes completely in awe. I felt so beautiful, and it really made the wedding feel like a reality for me.

How did you meet your husband? Tell us a little bit about your relationship.
After my brief stint at Juilliard, I decided to transfer to Columbia University where I met my husband on orientation day. I was a bit nervous since I have only attended art schools my entire life, and he approached and made me feel at ease immediately. It so happens that I didn’t end up attending that semester due to conflicts with work, and had I gone to any other orientation day we would have never met. We became good friends and it quickly evolved into more.
What was the most important thing for you and your husband when planning your wedding?
We knew we wanted a small intimate wedding due to COVID, and the people there to truly know and care for us there to celebrate with.
What was your wedding theme?
Our wedding was very much inspired by our travels. Some of our favorite memories were of our stay in London where we balanced our exploration of the city with visits to the botanical gardens. We decided quickly on The Foundry in Long Island City since it had a nice balance between an industrial city look and a courtyard that we could bring to life with a delicate, wild English garden theme. It seemed to be the perfect size for our desired guest count, as well and we liked the variety of spaces and levels we could play around with to give the day multiple different looks and vantage points.

What(is a)moment from your wedding day ( that ) you will never forget?
Being surrounded by those who love us the most up under the chuppah!
How was your experience with the The Atelier brand?
We were so lucky to have been able to work with The Atelier. The incredibly talented team directed by Jimmy Choo managed to bring the dress down from a size 6 to a size 0 in one day and have the dress delivered to my door less than five days later. I was floored and was so honored to be able to wear that dress for my ceremony, I felt like a real princess.
What advice would you give to all our future brides?
When you have your dress, make sure that you feel comfortable wearing the dress for the entire ceremony! The last thing you should have to worry about is an ill-fitting dress you constantly have to adjust when you should be focusing on such an important day.
Also, try to leave more than a month to plan your wedding haha! I don’t know how we managed that, but at least it made the entire process that much more rewarding. If given the opportunity however, I would take at least a year.
Finally, it’s important to find vendors that you can trust! It is the only reason we were able to pull off our wedding in one month.
What is one final thing you would like to say to The Atelier?
Thank you for making my wedding a dream come true. You are such a talented team and are so easy to work with. I am beyond grateful for all your hard work and genius in making this happen in such a tight turn-around. I am sure that you will continue to leave many more brides feeling the most beautiful version of themselves.
