On the evening of October 9, 2025, the brand took centre stage atop the rooftop of the historic Fairmont Peace Hotel, framed by Shanghai’s breathtaking skyline, to unveil the “Whispers of the Waves” Collection, a poetic fashion spectacle that seamlessly wove heritage, artistry, and modern allure.

The fashion soiree shone with brilliance, as an illustrious assembly of industry leaders, style icons, and media guests gathered in celebration of the Maison’s new season unveiling. Within this enchanting evening, guests were swept into The Atelier’s signature world of tidal romanticism, where waves of imagination and a spirit of freedom flowed through every creation, embodying the true essence of the Maison.Renowned Chinese actress, Bambi Zhu Xudan gracefully unveiled The Atelier’s Spring/Summer 2026 showcase at Shanghai Fashion Week, presenting a dreamlike celebration of couture artistry. With soft whispers and fluid elegance, she brought to life “Whispers of the Waves,” a romantic chapter that wove imagination and fashion into a breathtaking symphony of beauty.

Across the continuum of time, The Atelier unveils its Spring/Summer 2026 “Whispers of the Waves” collection which is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship and timeless elegance. Inspired by the poetic and philosophical depths of “Leaves of Grass” by Walt Whitman. The collection captures a spirit of unbridled freedom and intimate harmony with nature, translating the ocean’s undulating rhythm into a graceful and flowing design language. At the heart of the collection lies the motion of the tides, as The Atelier’s design team transforms their fluid, ever-changing patterns into sweeping curves that echo the ocean’s natural elegance and harmonious rhythm. In terms of structure and technique, the collection utilizes 3D tailoring, meticulously aligning cuts with the body’s natural contours and the rhythmic flow of the tides. Through intricate texturing, the fabric surfaces are brought to life with volumetric patterns that undulate like the surging ocean.
In exquisite decorative craftsmanship, silver wave lines are brought to life through delicate metallic thread embroidery, winding along the hemline like nimble serpents to faithfully replicate the intricate contours of the coastline revealed by the receding tides. Cool-toned metal appliqués, meticulously sculpted using laser engraving techniques, evoke the fluid, graceful curves of flowing water, adding an ethereal sense of movement and lightness to each gown.In the realm of fabric artistry, the soft blue Swarovski crystals are arranged in delicate gradients, evoking the misty, mesmerizing lustre of the sea glass at dawn. The transparent crystals, are meticulously inlaid with multiple facets, scatter light like miniature mirrors, creating a luminous spectacle reminiscent of sunlight sparkling across tranquil shallow seas. Even more ingeniously, the collection interweaves a diverse figurative decorative motif, capturing the graceful rise of the tides and the dazzling allure of shells resting amid sparkling waters. Through unparalleled craftsmanship, the designer weaves together piping, crystal embellishment, ruffle stitching, and intricate machine embroidery, skilfully deconstructing and reimagining each technique to conjure a magical tableau of artistic marvels.Renowned for its ethereal and luxurious colour palettes, The Atelier unveils “Whispers of the Waves,” adding a touch of otherworldly, dreamlike elegance. Set against the backdrop of Shanghai’s iconic skyline, the rooftop of the historic Fairmont Peace Hotel offered a sweeping, majestic view, where every glittering light and architectural silhouette became part of the evening’s elegant tableau, exuding a timeless charm that created breathtaking, jaw-dropping moments for the guests.
