On September 25, 2025, the World Design Capital Conference (WDCC2025) officially opened at 78 Longhua East Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai, with acclaimed Chinese actress Liu Tao serving as the Global Ambassador. Now in its fourth consecutive year in Shanghai, the global design event takes on the theme “Design Without Boundaries, Vitality Without End.” With its “12255+X” framework, the conference brings together creative forces from around the world.Within the “Design Illuminates Life (Fashion/Culture)” section, The Atelier unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, “Essence of Nature”, a poetic reimagining of natural aesthetics through the lens of deconstruction. The Atelier unveils its Fall/Winter 2025 Ready-to-Wear Collection, “Essence of Nature,” inspired by nature as the defining metaphor of life’s cycle. Through daring asymmetry and deconstructive artistry, the designer breaks away from the rigid codes traditional gown, transforming garments into fluid sculptural forms. Contrasting textures meet in harmony, revealing nature’s dual essence in its quiet tenderness and its boundless strength. The collection’s palette reveals a rich interplay of tones, guided by the delicate logic of natural light and shadow. It faithfully mirrors the colour transitions of nature, from the first glow of dawn to the deep hush of dusk.Prof. Jimmy Choo, OBE, Creative Director of The Atelier, remarked: “Nature is not only the source of design inspiration, but also the eternal home of the human spirit.
